Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich – 5×7 on Gessobord Panel.

Ok, so this oil painting was much more challenging than I expected – I almost wiped it clean about halfway through, but pushed ahead, and finished in one sitting! It’s not perfect, but it’s done… and MOST times, done is better!

I started the under painting a couple of weeks ago and I think I’ve been subconsciously avoiding it. My brain probably knew all along that the gooey PB&J was going to be tough. Today I decided to finish it while waiting for more canvases to arrive from Jerry’s Artarama. I’m glad it’s done, but it’s making me want to paint a jelly doughnut next!
